Two different worlds

An old disabled man selling newspaper to a man sitting in a brand new imported Mercedes Benz in the August summer of Lahore....This displays the kind of income disparity we have in our society.

The rich are becoming super-rich while the poor are getting extremely poor. It is happening all over the world, however, it is more visible in our society than in Europe or North America...

I love my Lahore...

Hi Friends! AOA

I've been roaming around Lahore this Sunday afternoon and i really loved my city's beautifully landscaped boulevards; i often do it. Lahore is currently going through a construction boom and lots of roads have either been repaired or newly built. This has totally changed the road infrastructure of Lahore for better.

Especially, whenever I travel on the Main Boulevard, Gulberg, I am taken aback by this road's beauty. It's so green and in reality gives you the impression that you are travelling in Malaysia, Thailand or some European country...

In addition to the lush green belts, new multi-storeyed high-rises that dot both of the road's sides give you a lasting impression of rising prosperity and new-found wealth of Lahore and its citizens.I think this road is the most alluring in Lahore and it makes me feel proud of my city.

I simply love this go-green road...

They say it right...

While the total sales of Santro in calendar 2004 managed to cross the 100,000-mark (104,748 to be precise), the target for 2005 has been set nearly 50 per cent above this. The Hyundai Motor India Ltd (HMIL) has upped its monthly Santro sales target to 12,000 units in 2005 from 8,000 units in 2004.

It looks like Shahrukh has been marketing Santro very well.

I guess, those who say "Either --- or Shahrukh sells in India", say it right.

Dont you feel like...

Hi Friends!

Dont you feel like touching this beauty.

Damn, i love this car...

Yes! i am not gaining it...

Those who know me, know that i have a bit extra pounds on me... Just to loose those, i started walking in a nearby park in the evenings, a few months back. That did help a lot and I lost a staggering 9 KGs in three months. However, tight schedules and lazy habits have restricted me from continuing the exercise.

Since then, i have kept my weight under control. I didnt loose any more KGs after that, but, not gained any either....

I miss my folks...

My folks are in London these days on a leisure trip.

I really am missing them, life has become so un-happening without them. I wish they are having a good time watching the change of the Guards at the Buckingham Palace today...

In my last conversation with them, i was told they were been rubbing shoulders with Amitabh Bachhan, Elizabeth Taylor and Princess Diana at the Madame Tussaud's; having the ultimate scientific + historic experience at the British Museum; enjoying the essence of London at High Street, Harrod's and the King's Cross.

I wish i could be there right now...Hope they are enjoying and missing us...

Love you and Miss you Folks!

Thanda Mangta Coca Cola....

My love for Coke continues despite my significantly reduced consumption of this one of the most popular brands in the world. The waves created in my eyes when i see a chilled Classical Coke can depict my temptation for the wavy CocaCola logo...

Although, we already enjoy a lot of American products with a desi touch e.g. Chciken Tikka at Pizza Hut, however, this friday, we had a unique experience of drinking Coke in steel glasses of our University canteen that resembles a Dhaba or a working-class cafeteria.

I, for the most, had hygiene concerns for the way the utensils are washed in public canteens.

Anyways, it was such a delight to have chilled Coke at 1:00 pm with Aftaab Bhai shinning at us with full Aab-o-Taab....

I like to play Games....

Although it is strictly prohibited, i played a computer game in my University lab for the first time. It happened today when i had nothing good to do. THe game, named Luxor and available at Real Arcade, surely, was fun to play. But it made me feel guilty as i could have started work on my Webpage assignment.

Now, however, i think it was for good, as i have been trying to install it on my PC for the last 30 minutes, but, so far, i have been unsuccessful in doing that.

I, definitely will be trying that again....Ahhhhh, another time-consuming-unproductive-online activity after Orkut and the Blogs...

Flying the night...

HI Friends!

Have you ever thought of Flying in the air especially at night...I was just imagining if i could. I can feel the darkness, the chilly effect of wind as it gushes through my arms and makes my eyes water. The coolness, the calmness, the silence. Just imagine the moonlight, the smokey clouds as they pass by and the lights underneath as you fly past those towns and cities where other beings are trying to sleep through their worries. The freedom, the soothing effects of the experience make me feel like jumping from an edgy mountain at midnight. The experience surely will be worth-sharing one, however, i dont think i would be left there to share it with you....

Hi! there, I'm here...

Hi Fire-ends!

Atlast, i've tasted blood by creating from deep inside this new-time-consuming-silly-habbit-on-the-net.

I hope to have a good time here....
